This 1948 Ford Coupe is owned by Lakewood Ranch resident John Calkins. -
Tucker Fuiks, 13, won his time trial in his pedal car race. -
Gary and Kathy Carter brought their 1961 Ford Thunderbird and their 1956 Ford Custom. -
Eamon Cushing, 11, enjoyed with his dad, Eddie. -
Newlyweds Ted and Joadie Durfee live in Lakewood Ranch. -
Carleen and Matthew Fuiks enjoyed the day with their daughter, Paige, 12. -
East County resident George Johnston brought out his 1952 Farmall Cub, which he co-owns with a friend. -
Sarge and Anne Larsen brought their 1948 Chevy convertible. -
Barkley Nash was one of two official starters for the pedal car races. -
Chase Tench, 10, couldn't wait for the pedal car races to start.

Dancing group to host fundraiser

Members of KC and the Sunshine Dancers, a group of Manatee County dancers ages 8 to 20, will show off their dancing skills in jazz, hip-hop and contemporary dance from 7 to 9 p.m. May 28, as the group holds a show titled "Breaking Ground."
