East County families potentially facing foreclosure have an opportunity see their options.
The Sarasota-Bradenton Attorney’s Real Estate Council will host a free pre-foreclosure seminar at 10 a.m., Oct. 17 at Michael Saunders & Company, 8325 Lakewood Ranch Blvd.
The seminar’s speakers are tyring to educate homeowners on aspects of the Obama administration’s announced federal foreclosure rescue plan, which may help eligible homeowners by either assisting with refinancing or loan modification.
Seminar topics also include: the Homeowner Affordability and Stability Plan and eligibility, alternatives to the HASP for non-qualifying homeowners, selling your home, avoiding foreclosure scams and assembling a real estate team to help with a plan to manage a challenging mortgage.

Members of KC and the Sunshine Dancers, a group of Manatee County dancers ages 8 to 20, will show off their dancing skills in jazz, hip-hop and contemporary dance from 7 to 9 p.m. May 28, as the group holds a show titled "Breaking Ground."
