+ Health Park East continues aqua-therapy classes
Health Park East announced Sept. 18 it will continue aqua-therapy classes for participants displaced by Manatee Memorial Hospital’s Sports Medicine and Physical Therapy relocation.

Aqua-therapy classes have proven beneficial to those suffering from Parkinson’s, rheumatoid and osteoarthritis and neurodegenerative conditions that cause chronic pain and affect balance and mobility.

The full schedule of classes is being restored and expanded with introductory prices of $40 per month for three classes per week and $30 for two classes per week. Health Park East is located at 6020 53rd Ave. E. (SR 70), 1.5 miles west of I-75 in Bradenton. For more information, call 761-9816.

+ Grapevine Communications expands design staff
Grapevine Communications announced Sept. 20 that it has added two design professionals to its full-time staff.

Michael Cronin, the firm’s new senior art director, is an alumnus of Ringling College of Art and Design. He has worked as a graphic designer, art director and visual communicator for small and large advertising and design firms.

Matt Sheils, Grapevine’s new webmaster, has an extensive background in web and graphic design, photography and videography.

Shaggys Hair Studio has moved to 8729 State Road 70, in Bradenton. Shaggys was previously located at 11542 Palmbrush Trail.

+ Manasota Commercial Construction breaks ground
Manasota Commercial Construction Co. Inc. broke ground for Cooper Family Medical Group’s new facility located at 5123 Fourth Ave. Circle E., in Bradenton. The 11,100-square-foot, $1.8 million facility is adjacent to its current location and has West Indies design influence and energy-efficient construction elements. The new facility will likely be open by spring 2013, according to a prepared statement.
