Manatee County Sheriff's Office deputies are searching for the man who robbed a Lakewood Ranch bank this morning.
According to sheriff's office reports, at about 9:15 a.m., deputies responded to a bank robbery at SunTrust Bank located at 6135 Exchange Way, Lakewood Ranch.
According to witnesses, the suspect entered the bank and handed a note to the teller demanding money. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the bank. The suspect implied he was armed, but no weapon was seen.
The suspect is described as a white male in his 20s, with short, dark hair and about 5-foot-5 to 5-foot-8. He was wearing a T-shirt and shorts.
