Manatee County Sheriff's Office deputies are searching for information about three vehicle burglaries in Braden Woods.
According to a sheriff's office report, uknown suspect(s) entered at least three unoccupied vehicles on 95th Street Circle East and stole items. One of the vehicles was a truck that had electronic equipment inside.
Latent prints were obtained on at least one of the cases. No other leads are known at this time.

- There have been numerous reports of vehicles being burglarized in and around this area. By now, one should know not to leave valuables in their car or truck. I'm not so sure it's wise to even lock a vehicle. If you don't want to take a chance on someone breaking the glass, then go through the hassle of having it repaired, then don't lock it. A couple of years ago my car was broken into. I never leave anything valuable in the car, except for some pocket change in the cup holder, so the thief left practically empty handed. After filing a police report, the officer suggested I leave the car unlocked in the future.

MTI hosts 9/11 blood drive
As the nation remembers the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, Manatee Technical Institute will commemorate the tragedy with a blood drive from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sept. 10 and Sept. 11, at its main campus, 6305 State Road 70 East, in front of Braden River High Schol.
