Washington, D.C. — Congressman Vern Buchanan announced today he will hold a town hall meeting in the East County this week.

The meeting will be at 4 p.m., Aug. 20, in the auditorium at Braden River High School, 6545 S.R. 70 E. Buchanan will meet with constituents to discuss health care, jobs and the economy.

"Congress is debating health care reform legislation," Buchanan said. "We also need to address the economy. I want to listen to the people and get their ideas and suggestions on how to reduce costs and increase access to affordable health care, grow the economy, and create jobs. "

This is the eighth in a series of town meetings Buchanan has held throughout the district this year to give his constituents a chance to express views on federal issues.
