The Manatee County Planning Commission meets at 9 a.m. today to discuss land development issues in Manatee County, including the development of a new commercial park in the East County.
Board members will consider whether SM Duck Dog 2 LLC should be allowed to build a project that includes a grocery store, a bank, retail stores, offices and a convenience store with gas pumps on a 14.46-acre site at the southwest corner of State Road 64 and Lorraine Road.
The planning commission is an advisory board to the Manatee County Board of County Commissioners, which will make the final decision on land use matters.
