Lakewood Ranch resident Debbie Plotts has already lost four friends to breast cancer. -
Physical Education Specialist Linda Vernon and Chief MRI Technologist Carrie Santos of Aurora Breast MRI in Sarasota -
Marion Stuart and Kelly and Anita DeVine came out in support of the American Cancer Society. -
Lisa Cappiello, pictured with her daughter Laura and breast cancer survivor Jan Brown, middle, lost her husband to cancer. -
Mary McAndrews-Albritton, Gail Shane and Judy Newdom enjoyed getting to know one another.

- The kickoff was great and I am very excited to be a part of this event. My band "SHERI and THE VISION" has the distinct honor of performing! I can let you all know that will be rockin and we are going to have a great celebration. I would like everyone to get on board this train with me!

Dancing group to host fundraiser

Members of KC and the Sunshine Dancers, a group of Manatee County dancers ages 8 to 20, will show off their dancing skills in jazz, hip-hop and contemporary dance from 7 to 9 p.m. May 28, as the group holds a show titled "Breaking Ground."
