The Manatee County's Sheriff's Office now has more resources to fight violent crime.
The Gold Star Club of Manatee County recently donated $25,000 to the sheriff's office, which will put the money toward its investigative fund to help get more information about the recent rash of homicides and home invasions in the area.
The Gold Star Club is a non-profit organization that offers rewards for unsolved murders in Manatee County.
Anyone with information on a crime is asked to call the sheriff's office at 747-3011 or Crime Stoppers at 866-634-TIPS.
