The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man who robbed an 86-year-old woman Sunday afternoon.
Deputies describe the suspect as a white male in his 20s, standing about 5 feet 10 inches tall, slim with short, blond spiked hair. He wore a blue tank top.
At about 3:45 p.m., the Sarasota woman was walking in front of the Marshalls at 8467 Cooper Creek Blvd. The robber approached her from behind and took her purse. He then got into the passenger side of a newer, two-door hatchback, possibly a Kia.
The Sheriff’s Office asks anyone with information on the case to call Crime Stoppers of Manatee County at (866) 634-8477. Callers can remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward.
