With the prolonged economic downturn, local food banks, homeless shelters and animal rescue groups are in dire need of food to distribute to those in need.
TechHouse is kicking off its second annual Food Drive: Summer Harvest 2009. This year, the effort includes helping animal rescue groups as well.
Benefiting organizations include the Food Bank of Manatee County, Our Daily Bread, Sarasota’s All Faith’s Food Bank and several pet rescue groups, including Honor Sanctuary and the Humane Society of Sarasota and Manatee counties.
Please bring non-perishable food items, dog and cat food, cat litter, monetary donations ($100 can feed up to 173 people) and non-perishable toiletry items and pet food to one of the following Lakewood Ranch locations:
• TechHouse, 9040 Town Center Parkway
• ComCenter Lakewood Ranch, 9040 Town Center Parkway
• Woof Gang Bakery, 8314 Market Street
• Lakewood Ranch Cinemas, 10715 Rodeo Drive
If your company would like to be a drop off location, please contact Ann Marie Young at TechHouse at 224-5740 or e-mail to Annemarie@tech-house.com.
