- This is all smoke an mirrors by YOUR County Commission an Administrator... There is NOTHING promise in this about property tax reductions...They waste away the monies receive by the sale of Manatee Memorial Hospital in 1984, an are NOW coming back as if it is an emergency... WHY do you think they are holding a special expensive election in summer, when just about ALL of our winter visitors will be gone as well as many families who will be off on vacation after school closes for the year...AND they plan on adding even more fees to FPL, Water / Sewer utilities, Cable...The best thing to do is VOTE NO ON JUNE 18th... STOP OUR RUN AWAY GOVERNMENT...
- I don't mind helping the indigent as long as they are LEGAL citizens.
I'm sure there are a lot of tax payers that are tired of supporting the free loaders though.

As the nation remembers the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, Manatee Technical Institute will commemorate the tragedy with a blood drive from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sept. 10 and Sept. 11, at its main campus, 6305 State Road 70 East, in front of Braden River High Schol.
