Manatee County currently is accepting applications for two seats on the Myakka City Fire Control Board of Commissioners.
District 2 and District 4 both are open. Appointees are responsible for policy and financial oversight of the Myakka City Fire Control District, a dependent district established by ordinance of the Manatee County Board of County Commissioners. The positions are for four-year terms expiring June, 30, 2013.
Applications may apply online at the county's Web site, www.mymanatee.org, under the County Administrator’s page. Applications will be accepted through close of business May 29, 2009.
