Lakewood Ranch Town Hall has had operating hours of 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Thursday, since August 2008. Officials now are contemplating whether they should go back to a five-day schedule or something else.
Here’s what Lakewood Ranch residents had to say.
What do you think the hours of operation for Town Hall should be?
“What originally struck my heart when I heard about (changing to the four-day work week) was that it was a green initiative and that they tried to accommodate working people by opening at 7 a.m. I think it’s a good thing to explore other options. If we need to open up on Fridays, can some people work from home so hours can be shared? It honors both the community and the employees.”
“I think a four-day work week is nice, but my preference is (for Town Hall to be open) five days. The center offers a lot of different advantages for Lakewood Ranch residents.”
“I think they should be open normal business hours Monday through Friday. I’ve tried to contact them on a Friday several times and realized they weren’t open.”
“They should have at least one day a week with extended hours or like a half-day on Saturdays. That would make it convenient for someone like me (who works).”
“That’s a good question because I don’t really use it. The only time I’ve been there was to get my new key.”
