Sarasota police report a home invasion robbery and an armed robbery of a 7-Eleven at approximately 11 p.m., Monday night on Lockwood Ridge Road.
According to a flash report, two white males wearing black masks and dark clothing entered a residence through the front door by force. They tied two victims up and made comments that they were sent to collect what was owed. One of the two victims reported that the suspects took jewelry and cash before leaving the residence.
Police received another call from the 7-Eleven at 5420 N. Lockwood Ridge Road. Employees reported that two males, also wearing hooded jackets, masks and carrying a firearm demanded money from the clerks and fled the store on foot.
Employees described the two as younger males about 5-feet-4-inches in height. One male was described as thin while the other was heavy-set.
