East County residents can catch an extra polo match this weekend:
A match benefiting Honor Animal Rescue will start at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 9, at the Sarasota Polo Club, 8201 Polo Club Lane, Sarasota.
Tailgating starts at 11 a.m. and tailgating is $10. Guests can pay more — $45 per ticket — for premier seating and a catered lunch.
Guests can visit with dogs and cats that are available for adoption, as well as participate in a silent auction.

Dancing group to host fundraiser

Members of KC and the Sunshine Dancers, a group of Manatee County dancers ages 8 to 20, will show off their dancing skills in jazz, hip-hop and contemporary dance from 7 to 9 p.m. May 28, as the group holds a show titled "Breaking Ground."
