Gettel honors Manatee County school teachers

The Gettel Family of Dealerships today will host a reception honoring local teachers.
An appreciation awards ceremony will be held at 4:30 p.m. today, at Toyota of Lakewood, 5959 E. State Road 64, Bradenton. This event marks the third quarter 2012-2013 ceremony hosted by Gettel.
One teacher from each of the district's schools will be given $125 as part of the awards.
Gettel Automotive Group has partnered with the Manatee Education Foundation to give the awards, which include the giving away of a 2013 Toyota Prius to the Teacher of the Year for Manatee County March 6.

Dancing group to host fundraiser

Members of KC and the Sunshine Dancers, a group of Manatee County dancers ages 8 to 20, will show off their dancing skills in jazz, hip-hop and contemporary dance from 7 to 9 p.m. May 28, as the group holds a show titled "Breaking Ground."
