Lakewood Ranch again has been recognized as one of the top 10 best-selling, master-planned communities in the nation, placing eighth and ninth by two separate survey companies.
California-based John Burns Consulting and Maryland-based RCLCO ranked Lakewood Ranch No. 8 and No. 9, respectively, noting the community is outpacing other well-known developments in Colorado, Nevado, Texas and Florida, among other locations.
“With the success of our commercial properties, our Main Street shopping area, the Premier Sports Campus and Sarasota Polo Club, it’s clear that Lakewood Ranch continues to be the premier new-home destination on Florida’s West Coast,” said Rex Jensen, president and CEO of Lakewood Ranch developer Schroeder-Manatee Ranch. “That is definitely translating into more visitors, which in turn means more sales.”
Lakewood Ranch visitor's centers saw more than 30,000 visitors in 2012, as well as a 47% year-over-year increase in new home sales.
