Manatee County Schools released a proposed school calendar for the 2013-2014 school year today.
Classes would start Aug. 19, 2013 and end June 9, 2014.
The 2013-14 academic school calendar will be presented to the school board for consideration and approval at a future meeting.
Notices and copies of the draft calendar are being distributed with information about how to provide input. Information about the proposed calendar is also posted on the front page of the Manatee School District’s website under “Hot Topics.”
The public can sent input on the calendar via email to calendar@manateeschools.net.
Mike Wilder, the district’s coordinator of school leadership development, can also be called at (941) 708-8770, ext. 2247. The input will be collected and given to interim Superintendent Dr. David Gayler.
