More than 350 people gathered at the Polo Grill and Bar July 24 for the Third Annual Spyder Broussard Low Country – East County Fish Fry & Shrimp Boil. Guests enjoyed live music by the Gumbo Boogie Band and Cajun dishes such as muffulettas, fried catfish and crawfish corndogs, among other items.

Students in the American Red Cross' Disaster Camp for Teens assisted several emergency agencies during a mass casualty incident drill Thursday at the ARC's Lakewood Ranch campus. The teens acted as victims of a car crash as East Manatee Fire Rescue, EMS and Bayflite crews responded to the incident.
