The hard work of children at Primrose School at Lakewood Ranch Town Center took the spotlight this morning as kindergarten students at the school delivered nearly 500 food items to representatives of Our Daily Bread. Children paid for the food items by doing chores around their homes.

East County celebrates all things Scottish

Crowds filled Lakewood Ranch Main Street from 4-9 p.m., Nov. 21 for the St. Andrew’s Scottish Festival hosted by MacAllisters Grill & Tavern. Festivities included golf demonstrations, samplings of Scottish cuisine and musical performances by the local band Chameleon and country music star David Nail.
Runners hustle for charity

A record number of runners turned out for this year’s Harvest Hustle 5K event held at Harvest United Methodist Church in Lakewood Ranch. Proceeds from the event benefited the Food Bank of Manatee County.

East County residents enjoyed the first Lakewood Ranch Crab Festival Nov. 14-15 in Lake Osprey Plaza. The event, hosted by The Lucky Pelican Bistro & Fish Market, included festivities such as an oyster-eating contest, music and more.
