Braden River Middle School commemorated Veterans Day with a celebration program Nov. 13. The event included performances from the band's music ensembles as well as speeches from veterans and Florida State Rep. Ron Reagan.
Stoneybrook feasts on Thanksgiving fun

Residents of Stoneybrook celebrated Thanksgiving Day early with a special holiday meal at 6 p.m., Nov. 7 at the community’s recreation center. Stoneybrook residents Jean Arnold, Carol Eichert, Cathy Faust, Jean Ott and Patty Peotter-Bettes prepared five turkeys for the more than 100 residents who attended.

Superheroes, princesses, witches and cartoon characters invaded Primrose School at Lakewood Ranch for the school's annual Parade of Costumes Oct. 30. The preschoolers showed off their Halloween costumes a day early before enjoying class parties with their friends and family.

University Park Women's Club met at Lido Beach for a gourmet picnic Oct. 2. Jackie Harding conceived of the idea and did all the cooking for this fabulous meal. The weather was perfect, and the University Park women and their guests enjoyed a beautiful night on the beach.
