East County residents gathered on Lakewood Ranch Main Street March 20 for the 10th annual Art at the Ranch event hosted by ArtCenter Manatee and LWR Communities. The also will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday.

Congregation enjoys carnival-style fun

Members and friends of Faith Christian Church gathered at the church March 13 for a kids carnival and silent auction. Children and their families enjoyed carnival-style games, bounce houses, hayrides, a silent auction and more. Proceeds from the event benefitted the church's non-profit preschool.
Ponies for Pups

More than 200 local residents gathered at the Sarasota Polo Club March 13 for Ponies for Pups. Guests enjoyed a polo demonstration, a pooch parade, a silent auction and a catered lunch by the Polo Grill and Bar, among other activities. Proceeds from the event benefited the Honor Sanctuary Animal Rescue.
Palmbrooke residents hold block party

Residents in River Club's Palmbrooke neighborhood gathered from 4-8 p.m., March 13 for the fourth annual Palmbrooke Block Party. Festivities included a potluck dinner, games such as corn hole and live music by Paper Airplane.

Area residents hit the streets for children

Dozens of children, teens and adults hit the Lakewood Ranch pavement March 7 for the annual Take Stock in Children of Manatee County 10K Run/Walk and Fun Run. Participants enjoyed coffee, juice and donuts and other entertainment before hitting the streets. Superintendent Tim McGonegal served as the official Race Marshall.
