Mason Thomas Durfee was born to Bradenton residents Ted and Joadie Durfee at 7:56 a.m. July 5, at Lakewood Ranch Medical Center. He weighed 7 pounds, 3 ounces and was 20.5 inches long.
Olivia Malena Ingemansson was born to Marcus and Jennifer Ingemansson, of Abu Dhabi, UAE, at 9:36 a.m. June 28, at Lakewood Ranch Medical Center. She was 7 pounds, 5 ounces and was 19 inches long.
Layla Maryanne Lockhart was born to Myakka City residents Chris and Ashley Lockhart at 4:17 a.m. July 8, at Lakewood Ranch Medical Center. She weighed 8 pounds, 15 ounces and was 21-and-one-fourth inches long. Proud big siblings are Lily and Grace.

Parker Jackson Welch was born to East County residents Tony and Justina Welch at 1:42 a.m. Aug. 21, at Lakewood Ranch Medical Center. Parker weighed 6 pounds, 15 ounces and was 19.5 inches long.

Dancing group to host fundraiser

Members of KC and the Sunshine Dancers, a group of Manatee County dancers ages 8 to 20, will show off their dancing skills in jazz, hip-hop and contemporary dance from 7 to 9 p.m. May 28, as the group holds a show titled "Breaking Ground."
