As Lakewood Ranch continues to grow, it's developer Schroeder-Manatee Ranch is beginning to focus more on bringing entertainment options to East County residents. The East County Observer recently caught up with some local residents to see what entertainment venues they'd like to see in Lakewood Ranch.

"Anything child-related. Miniature golf would be great. It's something you can do as a couple. It's something you can do as a family."

"I'd like a nice book store like a Barnes & Noble where you can sit outside and have coffee."

"Something where we have a water park-type thing during the summer with slides and splash pools."

"Probably live theater. There's a lot of live theater around, but it'd be nice to have something out here. That's the one thing I always thought was missing."

"A sports bar where people can spend all day Sunday to watch the games during football season or the Final Four with big screens and outdoor seating."
