Students in Nolan Middle School’s FFA program rallied to fight cancer March 20-21 by participating in the Relay for Life of Myakka City.
Thirteen students participated in the event, which was themed “United We Stand,” with each team representing a state. Nolan’s students represented Alaska, coining the slogan, “Beyond our dreams, within our reach.”
They sold Moosetracks ice cream, Moose Munch snacks and had a Moosie Theater showing Alaska-themed movies all night. Students raised more than $1,300 for the American Cancer Society.
