The complainant was walking his dog, and when he arrived back at his residence, he noticed a plastic bag by the driveway. He picked up the bag and noticed it had marijuana and drug paraphernalia in it.

An unknown white male in his 50s or 60s approached the victim while she was shopping at the grocery store. The suspect distracted her by telling her he was throwing a party and didn't know what kind of cheese to buy.

The complainant reported she found several items of paraphernalia used for smoking marijuana in the residence. She suspected the items belonged to her brother, so she looked through his wallet while he was sleeping and found some green substance that appeared to be one gram of marijuana.

Girl Scouts give cookies a new cause
Local Daisy Scouts from Troop 180 are helping Feeding Empty Little Tummies feed homeless school children in the area.
Dancing group to host fundraiser
Members of KC and the Sunshine Dancers, a group of Manatee County dancers ages 8 to 20, will show off their dancing skills in jazz, hip-hop and contemporary dance from 7 to 9 p.m. May 28, as the group holds a show titled "Breaking Ground."
