CYPRESS STRAND
Reported Aug. 7
4:56 p.m. — 6300 block of Bay Cedar Lane. Identity theft. The victim’s bank advised her of a purchase at a Sam’s Club in Miami with her debit card number. She immediately advised them she was still in possession of her card and has never been to Miami.
DUDE RANCH ACRES
Aug. 8
8 a.m. — 6100 block of 47th Ave. E. Armed burglary. Unknown subject(s) entered the residence through a rear sliding-glass door. Once inside, the subject(s) took undisclosed property, exited through an unknown door and fled.
SUMMERFIELD
Reported Aug. 8
11:23 a.m. — 6200 block of Tassleflower Trail. Grand theft. The victim reported an unknown person took a package that contained a camera lens from outside his home. The victim said his camera lens was delivered by UPS. The lens is valued at $1,380.
GREENBROOK
Aug. 7
8 p.m. — 6700 block of Pirate Perch Trail. Criminal mischief. The victim reported unknown person(s) damaged his vehicle while it was outside his residence. The victim estimated the cost to be about $1,000. The victim is unsure but believes a person from the lawn company he recently had a business dispute with may have damaged the vehicle.
MYAKKA CITY
Reported Aug. 8
12:04 p.m. — 11100 block of M J Road. Grand theft. An unknown person stole several items from the residence’s master bedroom. The owner stated a member of her family has a drug problem, but she doesn’t want them listed in the report. She also stated she needed a report fro documentation and for insurance purposes. The complainant stated she didn’t see who stole the items but thinks she knows who did it.
ROSEDALE
Reported Aug. 5
2:15 p.m. — 8600 block of 51st Terrace E. Scheme to defraud. The complainant reported two unknown females called the complainant and misrepresented themselves to obtain credit card information.
SARASOTA
Aug. 6
3:30 p.m. — 7010 28th St. Court E. (Waterway Systems). Burglary to a fenced area. Unknown person(s) entered the north fenced area and took several items. A large piece of an undisclosed item was discarded outside of the fence. Some possible latent prints were lifted.
SUMMERFIELD
Aug. 6
9:30 a.m. — 11800 block of Acorn Woods Terrace. Criminal mischief. The victim reported an unknown person used an unknown implement to scratch and dent the trunk of her vehicle. The person then fled in an unknown direction by unknown means. The victim was given a case number.
Aug. 8
1 p.m. — 12200 block of Hollybush Terrace. Petit theft. Someone stole the complainant’s license plate from his motorcycle. The license plate was entered into FCIC.

Dancing group to host fundraiser

Members of KC and the Sunshine Dancers, a group of Manatee County dancers ages 8 to 20, will show off their dancing skills in jazz, hip-hop and contemporary dance from 7 to 9 p.m. May 28, as the group holds a show titled "Breaking Ground."
