Gone fishin'
6:45 p.m. — 7300 block of 52nd Place East. Aggravated assault. The two vehicles were traveling northbound on Interstate 75 when one cut the other off. The suspect vehicle went around the victim on the shoulder. Once in front of the vehicle, the vehicles came to a complete stop on the shoulder. The driver of the suspect vehicle reportedly got out of the vehicle and threatened to kill the victim with a “fish grabber.” The suspect returned to his vehicle and continued northbound, exiting on State Road 70, with the victim following behind him. The victim stated that the suspect got out of the vehicle armed with the “fish grabber” and a cement block, trying to get into the victim’s vehicle and threatening to kill him.

Girls in Girl Scouts Junior Troop 181, at Freedom Elementary School, recently earned their Bronze Award by researching and planting the back of the school’s courtyard.
