July 13
Leg up
6:30 p.m. — 1300 block of 60th Street E. Criminal Mischief. Unknown suspect(s) kicked the side garage door, and, in doing so, cracked the left doorframe around the door. The suspect(s) then fled in an unknown direction by unknown means.
July 14
Housekeeping
3:10 p.m. — 6400 block of 67th Street Circle E. Found Property. While cleaning one of the hotel rooms, hotel staff found a small baggie of marijuana. The hotel staff turned the baggie into the front desk clerk, who contacted the sheriff’s office. The responding deputy obtained the baggie and placed it into property and evidence to be destroyed.
In the bag
3:30 p.m. — 2800 block of University Parkway. Petit Theft. The female defendant concealed items in a bag and left the store without paying. Loss prevention detained the defendant until law enforcement arrived. Upon the deputy’s arrival, affidavits were obtained, and the stolen property, valued at $31.37, was obtained. The defendant was arrested and transported to jail.
Indecent proposal
5:15 p.m. — 8494 Lockwood Ridge Road (McDonald’s). Indecent Exposure in Public. While driving through a fast-food restaurant parking lot, the victim saw the defendant exposing himself. Law enforcement found the defendant behind a dumpster on the property. The manager requested the defendant be trespassed from the property. The defendant was advised if he returned he would be arrested for trespassing.
July 16
Late for work
2:45 a.m. — 4900 block of Creekside Trail. Unarmed Burglary to an Unoccupied Conveyance. Unknown person(s) entered the vehicle and stole various items valued at $207. The victim heard a door slam at about 2:45 a.m., and when he walked outside to investigate, he noticed his vehicle had been burglarized. He didn’t call law enforcement right away because he had to go to work. He did contact his credit-card companies and canceled the two cards that were stolen. Due to the texture of the interior, latent prints were unable to be obtained.
Mother’s fear
8:13 p.m. — 6200 block of 99th Street E. Aggravated Stalking. The defendant sent numerous text and telephone messages to his mother directly and through his aunt, threatening to do his mother harm and kill her on the night of the report. The defendant said he had means to carry out the threat when and if he comes in physical contact with his mother, who feared for her safety.
