5:21 p.m. — 2911 53rd Ave. E. (Wal-Mart). Theft. While the complainant was in the checkout line, she saw a shadow as if somebody had reached into the cart where her items were. The female was walking away with her hand behind her back, as if she was hiding something. Another checkout lane opened up and the complainant moved to that checkout lane. 4 p.m. — 5205 University Parkway (Kohl’s). Retail theft. The defendant was arrested for shoplifting. Prior to her arrest, a subsequent search found the defendant was in possession of marijuana. The defendant also was issued a trespass warning.
