Lakewood Ranch High School will host its eighth annual Music in Motion Marching Band Field and Competition Show Nov. 6 at the school, 5500 Lakewood Ranch Blvd.
Gates open at 5 p.m., and the bands will begin at 5:45 p.m.
Competiting bands include the Braden River High School Marching Band of Pirates, the Gateway High School Marching Panthers, the Lemon Bay High School Marching Mantas, the Riverdale High School Raider Regiment, the Sarasota High School Mighty Sailor Band, the Sebring High School Spirit of Sebring, South Dade High School Buccaneer Marching Band and the Southeast High School Seminole Marching Band.
Following the competition, the Lakewood Ranch High School Marching Mustangs and the Florida Brass Drum and Bugle Corps both will perform in exhibition. The night will conclude with a special performance by the Lakewood and Southeast drumlines.
Admission is $10; $5 for students 18 and under; free for children 3 and under.
