Designing Women Boutique’s art exhibition and summer sale runs through Aug. 17.
“Our estate division is growing leaps and bounds. We’ve gotten so much artwork, we decided to display it and have a sale," Client Manager Susan Kasow says. "When it comes to art, it needs to be hung on the wall. We didn’t have the room to display everything in the store, so we’ve moved it upstairs.”
There are over 350 pieces of art, ranging in price from $10 to $4,000. The boutique has so much art and not enough room in the store, so the exhibition is being held on the second-floor office suite, located directly above Designing Women Boutique. The collection consists of all sizes of framed and unframed art, including original oil, watercolor, giclee and quality prints, as well as etchings, lithographs, pottery, stone and bronze sculptures.
“We sold over $4,000 in this sale yesterday” says Executive Director Pam Day.
Admission is complimentary. The boutique is located at 1226 N. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
