The biggest production in Sarasota Opera’s history, Giacomo Puccini’s ‘Turnadot,’ starts at 7 p.m. this Saturday, Feb. 9 as the kick-off to Sarasota Opera Festival. It’s the largest production with 78 people in the orchestra and 74 performers on stage.
It’s about Princess Turandot who presents male suitors with three riddles, and if they cannot answer, she takes their heads. One Unknown Prince is up for the challenge — find out if his ending is love or death.
