Racing Legend Mario Andretti helped the East County open its newest tire store today.
Andretti helped with the ribbon-cutting ceremony for The Tire Choice, located at 5720 Ranch Lake Blvd., Bradenton, before greeting event-goers, signing autographs and posing for pictures. Andretti will be on site, meeting with fans, until 12:30 p.m.
Community leaders also gathered to help Dan and Diane Hennelly open their 35th store.

Dancing group to host fundraiser

Members of KC and the Sunshine Dancers, a group of Manatee County dancers ages 8 to 20, will show off their dancing skills in jazz, hip-hop and contemporary dance from 7 to 9 p.m. May 28, as the group holds a show titled "Breaking Ground."
