Central Park now open

Lakewood Ranch’s newest community, Central Park, opened to the public today. Visitors enjoyed model home tours, complimentary popcorn and Hawaiian ice and other festivities. The grand-opening event will run through 5:30 p.m., today, and from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., July 18.

Girls of all ages danced their hearts out at the Summer Dance Camp held at Gullett Elementary this month. The camp, which is led by dance instructor Michele Mercier, includes hip hop, ribbon dance, tumbling, jazz and Bollywood belly dancing. The last camp session is July 26-30.
