More than 60 kids flocked to Lakewood Ranch Main Street for the Celebrate Curiosity with Curious George event at Little Bookworms Sept. 26. The event featured story time, arts and crafts, a curiosity game and books and bananas galore.
RBC Bank master key machine stolen

Manatee County Sheriff's Office detectives are searching for the suspect who stole a key machine containing a master list of the keys to all the banks in Florida.
Celebration of Cultures

Dozens of preschool children dressed in homemade costumes paraded around Primrose School at Lakewood Ranch Town Center for the school's annual Celebrating Cultures Day Sept. 25. The children celebrated a number of different cultures across the globe, including Colombia, Holland and Japan, among others. Following the parade, the students joined hands in a unity circle and sang "It's A Small World" before breaking off into their specific classrooms for a cultural celebration.

Braden River Elementary honored its grandparents and mothers with two delicious events. The school hosted its Grandparents Day Lunch Sept. 10, and last week, students invited their mothers for Muffins for Moms Sept. 24.
