Thousands of people made their way out to the 4th annual Sarasota Pumpkin Festival at the Sarasota Fairgrounds this past weekend.
Members of the Sarasota Yacht Club enjoyed a night full of Halloween fun Saturday, Oct. 27, at the clubhouse.
Sarasota Sailors and the Riverview Rams, high school rivals, played one another Friday, Oct. 26, at Ihrig Field. The final score was Riverview 28, Sarasota 24.
The Out-of-Door Academy played St. Stephenâ€™s Thursday, Oct. 25, in the finals out at Bradenton Christian. St. Stephenâ€™s won the Class 3A-District 10 championship in three sets beating ODA 25-20, 25-13, 25-17.

Phillippi Shores Elementary School hosted pumpkin night on Thursday Oct. 25 for the students. The PTA organized the evening and over 400 children attended. Kids dressed in Halloween costumes played games, carved pumpkins, trick â€˜oâ€™ trunked and ate a lot of candy.
Kids had fun trick-or-treating and taking part in all sorts of fun Wednesday, Oct. 24 at the Selby Public Library's Halloween Party.
