The gusting wind on Saturday, April 14 did not stop event goers from arriving in style: avant-garde style that is. The theme of Ringling School of Art and Design?s event, raising money for the Ringling School of Art and Design Student Scholarship Fund, was ?An Evening at the Avant-Garde: Anything Goes.? Costumes of all eras, humor and themes were in attendance. John and Mable Ringling were there. Dorothy, the Tin Man, the Lion and the Scarecrow from ?Wizard of Oz? were there. Jack Sparrow, the pirate, was there. Even the Queen of Hearts was there. Thank goodness, Black Tie was there to capture it all on film.
