Community Fund Goes Tropical

It was Carnivale! Saturday night at the Lakewood Ranch Community Fund?s annual gala. Snakes, birds, an iguana, live performers and tropical vegetation were all part of a colorful event that brought the spice of Rio de Janiero to the Lakewood Ranch Country Club. The fund was founded in 2000 with the goal of enhancing the local community through philanthropic goals. Among its many accomplishments, the fund has helped to create a recently begun art program called ArtSmarts, benefited an outdoor film fest and helped SMART.
