Social Season Steps Out

Almost 500 people poured into the privately opened Ovo Caf? for the fabulous bash that kicked off the Sarasota social season, debuted the official 2006-2007 Social Calendar and the new daily Black Tie online at www.yourobserver.com.
Guests sipped "Social Butterfly" cocktails after walking the red carpet into Ovo Caf? on Wednesday, Oct. 4. Ovo was transformed back into a functioned party place with beautiful artwork on loan from State of the Arts Gallery on loan. Guests nibbled on yummy hors d'oeuvres created especially for the party by Northern Trust's Chef Ralph.
The Observer Group CEO Matt Walsh welcomed guests while Black TIe Editor Emily Walsh presented the new 2006-2007 Social Calendar, which was inserted for the first time into 50,000 Season Magazines. Walsh then showed off the new Web site: www.YourObserver.com with creator Anand Pallegar. Finally, sponsors of Black Tie Bash were thanked and guests danced the night away.
