Creative Camaraderie

Young professionals, artists, performers and arts patrons were all soaking up each other's creative juices at the Sarasota County Arts Council's "Arts Night: Architecture as Art" on Friday, Jan. 12, at the Sarasota Herald Tribune. The evening featured architectural touches such as barricades and construction tape as part of the decor. This year's event combined art, architecture and style in its funky fashion show with models dressed in clothes from Stitch Boutique carrying everything from paintings to photographs, sculptures to furniture and body art to jewelry. The event, which was co-chaired by Knickole Barger and Amie Swan, raised more than $30,000 for the Arts Council.
