The Jazz Club of Sarasota's "Jazz at Two" 2012-2013 concert series continues March 1 with Al Hixon. Hixon will be joined by vocalist June Garber, and a roster of other talented local musicians dubbed the Underheard Herd. "They're not my usual band," says Hixon, "but they're all great, undiscovered players who I guarantee the audience will love." The series, which was founded in 2001, showcases the region's top jazz performers from 2 to 4 p.m. Fridays. A portion of ticket sales is directed to the Jazz Club's scholarship program.
