The Manatee-Sarasota Sierra Club will host a fundraiser, presented by the Fabulous Arts Boutique, at 6 p.m. The gala will include wine and cheese with a display of handiwork by local craft artists. At 7:15 p.m. Sierra’s general meeting will take place at the Garden Club, 3 Blvd. of the Arts. The meeting will feature a lecture by Linda O’Connor-Levy, who will talk about Muir’s life and how he influenced the formation of the national parks. O’Connor-Levy is the Manatee County library system’s outreach services coordinator.
