Neuro Challenge Foundation’s Health Fair Parkinson’s Cycling Symposium at the Sarasota Family Y-Evalyn Sadlier Branch 9 am to Noon Free Join the Neuro Challenge Foundation for a special Health Fair, “Parkinson’s Moving Forward” at the Sarasota Family YMCA-Evalyn Sadlier Branch. The symposium will focus on how cycling can reduce the symptoms of Parkinson’s disease. This fun, free, educational event is for people living with Parkinson’s and their families. Special presentations: Local physicians will speak on the side effects of Parkinson Charlie Campbell, pedaling trainer and cycling enthusiast will share his findings and opinions on the effects cycling has on Parkinson’s patients Doctor question and answer session Special guest speaker: Dr. Jay Alberts of the Cleveland Clinic will speak on the benefits of cycling and exercise for Parkinson’s patients Discover products and services from our Health Fest sponsors. Also, learn about a new Parkinson’s research program being held at Sarasota Family YMCA’s. Through a generous grant from the Roberta Leventhal Sudakoff Foundation, the Neuro Challenge Foundation, Inc. and the Sarasota Family YMCA is offering a 12-week, research based cycling program for persons with PD and their caregivers. All participants who complete the program will become a part of a national research study. All costs for the cycling classes will free of charge courtesy of the generosity of Neuro Challenge Foundation and the YMCA. Reservations are required for the Health Fair; please call 941-926-6413
