It was founded with the idea of creating a total work of art in which all arts, including architecture, would eventually be brought together. Mote’s 6th annual Party on the Pass invited attendees to celebrate for a cause on Saturday, April 19, at the Aquarium at Mote Marine Laboratory. The party benefitted Mote Marine Laboratory's hospitals for dolphins, whales and sea turtles.

Longboat Key residents and visitors began their Easter celebration with Mar Vista’s 26th annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 19, at Mar Vista Dockside Restaurant. The children were split into two age groups to look for the colorful eggs, each containing a tasty treat or special surprise.
