The 48th Annual Antiques & Collectibles Show is hosted by Service Club of Manatee County Feb. 22, 23, and 24, 2013. The three-day show features fifty exhibitors selling silver, fine china, jewelry, porcelains, glassware, furniture, linens, decorative accessories, and more. Opening Preview Reception Fri., Feb. 22, 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets are available from Service Club members for $20 in advance or $25 at the door and include gourmet hors d'oeuvres and desserts. Tickets are good entire weekend. Show hours: Sat., Feb. 23 from 10 am to 5pm and Sun., Feb. 24 from 11 am to 4 pm. Tickets are $6 at door. The Manatee and Sarasota Commissions on the Status of Women and the League of Women Voters in Manatee and Sarasota hosted the 20th annual Women's Equity Luncheon Saturday, July 26, at the Hyatt Regency, Sarasota. Before eating, guests were invited to socialize and hear from national and local organizations including Planned Parenthood, New College of Florida Foundation and WSLR.
