Painting in Full Color II with Julie Hanson Acrylic, Intermediate/Advanced 6 weeks Wednesdays, Jan 9-Feb 13, 2013; 9am-12:30pm $170m/$200nm; Artist Demonstration: Sat, Jan 5, 2013, 1-4pm free Why limit your painting to value and color only? Learn how to paint the "temperature" of color. This approach is used in "Plein Air" painting. It's what enables the artist to capture so much of the feeling of the moment. It's also what makes the difference between a good and a GREAT painting. This class is for those wanting to use color in a powerful and expressive way. Mediums in order of preference are oil, water-soluble oil, pastel and acrylic. Although watercolor is not the best medium for learning this approach, you can very easily apply this new knowledge to your watercolor painting. We will work from a variety of subject matter that includes photographs in studio and occasionally on location. You will never see color the same way again!
