« back to blog main pageI have this love affair with autumn.
I love how that first morning of cool, brisk air hits you like a fist, how the gorgeous leaves are illuminated under the midday sun, and don't even get me started about the fashion! Boots. Scarves. Snuggly-Snuggly.
We don't exactly get to enjoy the fruits of fall in Florida, but that doesn't mean you can't fall-ify your home and live in autumn-bliss. (I even bought a Febreze Air Effects in Pumpkin Harvest so I can spritz my entire house with pumpkin spice goodness!)
Last week, I experimented with some gourd-decorating myself. I'm actually pretty proud of my "pumpkin-scape" below! For your Monday dose of inspiration, explore the other creative pumpkin-scapes and take fall into your own hands.
We'd love to see your design pictures -- feel free to email ddeshazer@yourobserver.com if you fall-ify your home and want to share what you did with The Observer's Let's Talk Shop crew!

Most of these projects include spray-paint, glue (spray adhesive or elmer's glue), glitter, pins, etc. I bought my "gourds" and supplies at Wal-Mart (more than half the price of local grocery stores!). This would be a fun activity at a cocktail party with some gal-pals.
Happy autumn!
Carving is still cool too -- if you need help, Martha Stewart knows what's up.
