« back to blog main pageThey say home is where the heart is.
If it were me, I'd say the kitchen is where the soul is. But, I didn't grow up with a love or curiosity of cooking. How unfortunate, right?
Though, over time, I turned to cooking because I like to experiment (and I LOVE to eat). If experimentation is the reason I cook, it's also the reason I don't bake. Everything is so precise! Mix up a tablespoon of this for a teaspoon of that, and your whole project turns out awful.
But, with cooking, you can put a dollop of that, an extra of this, a new dash of this, switch that kind of cream with low-fat reduced-fat this or that, and it turns into something completely new and delicious. I just LOVE that! [Can you tell I'm itching to get into my kitchen right now?]
Now, I don't have a beautiful kitchen. But, oh if I could, I'd fill it with lots of countertop space (maybe even a built in cutting board?!) so that I could spread out and conquer lots of delicious dinners.
Why not dream with me? Here are some neat countertop designs that are all carried through TH Winston Company (a family-owned and operated business who is a leader in fabrication and installation of natural stone products).

SILESTONE: Silestone® Quartz offers a sophisticated elegance and timeless beauty. The natural quartz in Silestone® delivers distinctive depth, brilliant clarity, glimmering radiance and a cool, solid feel unique to natural stone.
CAMBRIA: Cambria is made in the USA! Also, Cambria is 93% quartz making it stronger than natural stone. Cambria is a non-pourous material and therefore no sealers are necessary. Food safe, maintenance free, superior strength and stain resistant.

CORIAN: Corian® is a solid surface created by Dupont. It is thermosetting plastic made of acrylic polymer, which allows for a seamless look with a large variety of colors. It's a low-maintenance countertop that has a high-end look and feel.

CAESARSTONE: CaesarStone Quartz is a versatile and functional surface available in a variety of finishes (i.e. polished, honed, textures, and Motivo™). The palette includes surface options that emulate limestone and marble.

Now, don't you feel inspired to get in your own little kitchen for some good ole home cookin'?
